The AIAS project participated in the “AI Enables Cybersecurity” Meetup, held on 14 January 2026 at the OTE Headquarters in Marousi, Athens.
Organised by COSMOTE TELEKOM in the context of the VIGILANCE and CyberAID kick-off meetings, the event brought together cybersecurity professionals, researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, startups, and European research projects to explore the rapidly evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity.
The discussions addressed important topics related to AI-enabled cyber defence, trustworthy and explainable AI, cyber threat intelligence, secure data sharing, data integrity, and the resilience of AI-driven systems. Particular attention was also given to collaboration between research and industry and to the development of secure European digital ecosystems.
The event provided AIAS with a valuable opportunity to communicate its vision and ongoing work on an AI-assisted cybersecurity platform that empowers SMEs to defend against cyberattacks and adversarial threats targeting AI systems. AIAS’s participation highlighted the project’s dual approach of using AI for Cybersecurity while also strengthening Cybersecurity for AI.
Participation in this Industrial Day further strengthened the project’s engagement with the European cybersecurity community and supported knowledge exchange and potential synergies with organisations and research initiatives working towards trustworthy, resilient, and secure AI-enabled technologies.
