AIAS at the World Cybersecurity Summit 2024: Highlighting AI-Powered Security Innovation

On March 28, 2024, the World Cybersecurity Summit 2024 took place in Larnaka, Cyprus, bringing together leading experts, institutions, and innovators in the field of cybersecurity.

Professor Christos Xenakis from the University of Piraeus (UPRC), and coordinator of the AIAS project, was honored to deliver one of the conference’s keynote speeches. His presentation focused on the emerging challenges at the intersection of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, and explored advanced solutions inspired by several pioneering EU-funded projects, with a special emphasis on AIAS.

By showcasing the project’s contribution to adversarial defense, explainable AI, and deception mechanisms, AIAS stood out as a forward-looking initiative shaping the next generation of cybersecurity for AI-driven systems.

The Summit served as a valuable opportunity to share the project’s research vision, foster cross-border collaboration, and align with the European agenda on secure and trustworthy AI.
