Secondment Success: Georgios Kalpaktsoglou’s Impact on AIAS System Architecture and Adversarial AI Research

Georgios Kalpaktsoglou from FOGUS was seconded to CNIT – Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Rome, Italy on 29/01/2024. His secondment ended on 28/01/2025. During this period, he contributed on defining business cases and system requirements (WP2). He has also contributed to the overall architecture of AIAS and worked towards SotA assessment for digital twin frameworks enabling the deception of threat actors (WP3). He coordinated the contributions of all partners to D2.1, also actively contributed to editing and merging the deliverable D2.1 that was successfully submitted on the end of December 2024. He was also a co-author of the published paper “Adversarial AI Attack Detection: A Novel Approach Using Explainable AI and Deception Mechanisms” acknowledging the AIAS project that was presented in the Smart Cities International Conference (SCIC) 2024, December 4–6, 2024 by BEIA.
