The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), through its Distributed Real-Time Systems Lab (DRTSL), plays a crucial role in the AIAS project, contributing its expertise in cybersecurity, distributed AI, workload orchestration, and blockchain technology. With extensive experience in EU-funded research and technical project management, UPV is a key partner in advancing AIAS’s mission to enhance the security of AI-driven systems against adversarial threats.

Infrastructure & Resources
UPV’s contributions are backed by state-of-the-art infrastructure, including:
- On-premise cloud infrastructure:
- Two high-performance servers (2× Intel Xeon Gold 6320R, 512GB RAM, 10TB SSD, 4 high-performance GPUs).
- Access to the HPC Center of the University, with:
- Two clusters (72 and 128 nodes).
- A GPU cluster with 100TB storage for security data fusion and deception module development.
- A 120m² research lab with 20 fully-equipped workstations.
- A research team of 13 members, working independently within AIAS.
Key Technical Contributions
UPV is responsible for leading Task 4.1 – Ethical and Fair-Compliant Security Data Fusion and Knowledge Base (M10–M36), where it will:
- Research and implement novel data processing techniques to prepare information for AI models.
- Design and implement a data pool that stores adversarial AI attack data, accessible by all AIAS modules.
- Expand the DataPorts (H2020-ICT-2018-20) secure data-sharing platform under blockchain infrastructure with Verifiable Credentials.
Additionally, UPV contributes to:
- Task 3.1 (Deception Mechanisms): Developing AI-driven deception techniques.
- Task 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4: Supporting security analytics and cyber-defense strategies.
- Task 5.1 & 5.2: Ensuring seamless communication among AIAS modules and platform integration.
Personnel & Knowledge Transfer
UPV will actively transfer knowledge in:
- Blockchain security & cybersecurity architecture (UPV-ER1, contributing to T4.1, T3.4, T4.2, T4.3, T4.4).
- Deception mechanisms & seamless module communication (UPV-ER2, working on T3.1, T4.1, T5.1, T5.2).
- Security data fusion & blockchain integration for industrial applications (UPV-ESR1, focusing on T4.1, T3.1, WP5).
Through collaboration with FOGUS Innovations, UPV will gain additional expertise in simulation, virtualization, and deception mechanisms to enhance AIAS’s adversarial AI countermeasures.
